About VIP Ink Tattoo & Body Piercing in Moosup CT
Formerly of Custom Creations Tattoos & Body Piercing in Danielson CT, Eric
Ryan brought his team to VIP Ink in January. VIP Ink is owned by Dylan
Lagrandeur and formerly had only one artist. Dylan now employs 3 full time artists
Eric Ryan, Adam Fenner as well as apprentice Nina May. VIP Ink specializes in
custom tattoos and piercings and is open from Tues-Thurs 12-8 Fri. & Sat 12-9
Sun & Mon. by appointment only.
Cover Design Concept & Design
Eric originally came up with the idea to do an Alice in Wonderland piece of artwork
for the cover. Nina took Eric’s Alice idea and started sketching her concept of Alice
in Wonderland in pencil. Next Adam drew in the VIP Ink tattoo as well as the
Cheshire cat on Alice’s leg. Adam then inked the outlines and Nina colored it in
colored pencil. The drawing was then scanned and brought into Photoshop where
it was recolored and enhanced by Nina and Adam.

Nina May – VIP Ink Tattoo Artist Apprentice- A student of art her whole life, Nina
originally began her career in tattoos at Miller Cottons Tattoos in Worcester. After
finishing college and working in corporate graphic and web design for many years
she decided to return to what she loved the most, drawing and tattooing. In the
summer of 2009 she began an apprenticeship at Shoe's tattoos in Webster.
Shortly after, she was brought on board Custom Creations in Danielson CT by
another great tattoo artist Jay B. who introduced her to Eric Ryan and Adam
Fenner with whom she has apprenticed under ever since. She enjoys creating
artwork in many different styles and mediums from collage to oil painting and
acrylics as well as her main love tattoos. Shes hoping to be tattooing full time by

Adam Fenner – VIP Ink Tattoo Artist
“Tattooing allows me to do what I love and focus on artwork. It not only allows me
to produce great artwork on peoples skin but it also allows me to expand in other
mediums whether its drawing, painting or airbrushing.”
Art has always been a big part of Adam’s life whether it was music, creative writing
or drawing. Adam started drawing tattoos for himself and for family members
since his early teens and has been fascinated by tattoos for as long as he can
remember. Adam’s coworker asked him to draw up a design and after seeing his
drawing said he should try and pursue it as a career. That’s exactly what Adam
did. He then came across an ad for a tattoo school, and decided to attend. Adam
said he learned something from the school but nothing about tattooing it was
more of a lesson in getting ripped off. In Adam’s opinion the only way to learn is to
do a traditional apprenticeship. After the disappointment of attending a tattoo
school and realizing that he had alot more to learn he went to Custom Creations
in Danielson CT where he got an apprenticeship under Eric and Jay. Adam
worked construction full time and went to the tattoo shop after work. He
apprenticed for a year and then decided that he wanted to tattoo full time and has

Eric Ryan – VIP Ink Tattoo Artist
Eric Ryan has been a professional tattoo artist since 1998. Adam and Nina have
both apprenticed under him and are lucky to have been learning the skills,
techniques, art and business from one of the best tattoo artists around. Eric is
known for his clean line work, attention to detail and ability to work in almost any
style from realistic, to traditional, to portraits of both humans and animals alike as
well as having a brutally honest sense of humor. In other words he is capable of
producing a top quality tattoo from almost anything your imagination can come up
with and he will keep you laughing the entire time. His focus on line work is clearly
evidenced in his early notebooks filled with drawings of numerous subjects. Eric
has pages and pages of tattoo flash art that have been sold around the world and
his work has been featured in numerous tattoo magazines. He has also worked
at numerous tattoo conventions and won many different awards for his work.
Eric is a completely self taught artist that started his tattoo career in 1998 in
Webster MA. The first shop he worked for was called Z body arts. He opened his
own shop Custom Creations in Danielson CT in 2002 and has been going strong
ever since and now brings his talents to VIP Ink in Moosup CT. Eric’s portfolio can
